2 DR280's vs 3 DR250's

Good day folks,
Now I'm not sure if the topic has already been discussed elsewhere on the forum but I was wondering if (3) DR250 stacked would have similar or greater output to (2) stacked DR280s? Reason being, I currently use a pair of DR280's {stacked vertically} but they are quite hefty to mount atop my {pair} T48's cause I sometimes have no choice but to work solo, I built 1 DR250 which I never used since completion and was thinking about building a couple more for use in scenarios where I don't have any assistance to set up the system.. Oh and my audience head count is close to that of the ratings of a pair of DR280's.

Thanks in advance.

Looking at the charts, sensitivity wise, three DR250's has a slight advantage. It's difficult to say which stack would produce audible distortion at a higher output level than the other. Looks promising, though.

Sensitivity adjusted for cab count.

Note: These are both based on the non-ported version

I'd say they'd be pretty similar in the lows, with the high frequency advantage going to the three DR250.

I hear you man, are you using the ground stack/coupling brackets in the plans?
