Melded array issues

G'day mates!
Just did a gig with my 2 OT12s and noted one of the boxes HF to be significantly lower than the other. It was to the point we had to attenuate the amp channel of the louder box and boost the HF of the quieter box in order to get roughly equal HF output.
Does this mean I have bad elements in my tweeter arrays?
How hard is it to convert OT12s with melded arrays to compression drivers and has anyone here done it?
Cheers,
Dan

Grab a length of hose, play pink/white noise or a test tone above 3k & hold one end of the hose to your ear, the other closely to each element individually to test. If they're all the same volume/pitch, swap the cab to the other channel on the amp, if no change it's possibly cab wiring or the HF filter.

It's not hard, though personally l'd stick to the melded with your setup.

If you haven't already, the first thing I'd personally do is swap the speaker cabs one side to the other and see if the problem follows the speaker cab itself. If it doesn't follow the speaker, it's something upstream... damaged speaker wire or XLR cable, dirty/loose connector, amp on it's way out, accidental setting duff, etc

And if it is indeed the speaker. Check the polarity of the melded array. You might have gotten the wiring backwards. to the array. In fact, check all of the wiring of the array. Since it's series/parallel, one wire in the wrong place can change the impedance and the output.
That said.....if you replace the array with CDs and use the 1.2k crossover option - you'll love it.
