Quality Control ???

Just picked up a speakon NL4 to try and run my little iNuke in bridged mode. The terminals inside the connector use hex set screws to attach the wire. The +1 terminal fit the driver bit I had but the +2 terminal was ever so slightly smaller, in between the driver bits that I had. I took a file and trimmed down the size of one bit to fit.

I doubt it. Neutrik has always used phillips head screws. Although, I don't remember on the new models that came out recently - I've done a few, but that detail didn't stick.

All the branding on it is Neutrik. It is a number I'm not familiar with but I have mostly used 2 conductors before. All in all very nice quality connector, except......

Yeah, that's the new one......word of caution - Don't screw on the cap until you are ready to be done. They've made 'em hard to get off. Some European regulation is why they changed the design. So, you'll need some channel locks or their expensive plastic wrench to get the cover back off. And they raised the price.

They pretty much took a great field-serviceable connector and ruined it. I did see a seller on Amazon that still has some of the old style, if anyone wants to grab some.
