Got the plans and am reading it over.
I'm going to use the Dayton Audio LS10-44, cabinet width of 21 inches as suggested.

Main speakers will be pair o klipsch heresy 1.5's room is 11x11x8 (LWH)

1. It looks like 2 4x8 sheets will be more than enough- that sound right?
2. What amp are you running/suggesting?

Which Table Tuba are you building? There's a couple of different models...

You mentioned 4x8 sheets. If you're using Baltic Birch (it's the best), it is typically 5x5. The 5x5 sheets are cheaper per square foot than the 4x8. Use Cutlist software to get the best layout and that will help determine how much plywood you need.

The 4x8 is $2.62/sq ft.

That said, download Cutlist and put in the dimensions of the pieces. Try with 5x5 and 4x8 material and see which fits better and comes out the cheapest.

I’ve got a MiniDSP PWR-ICE running our bedroom system. Either the 125 or 250 is plenty. Spendy and requires a laptop to unlock all the features, but definitely get what ya pay for. That or try surfing FB Marketplace or Craiglist for a used “architectural” install power amp like an Audio Source or Speakercraft.

Ha! You dug a little deeper than I did.

I was able to get the plate amp for my old velodyne working again over the weekend- its rated 165 RMS/275 peak @ 8 ohms. Enough?

My sub amp is 75w/4 ohms.
