Hey, I'm new here

#1 Post by micamica »

Heya, I'm a new member based in Glasgow looking for info on building a 12v mobile system. I'm pretty new to this stuff mid up a steep learning curve. I've got a lot to learn!
But I'm also a cabinet maker and CNC operator so hopefully I got some good knowledge to give back to the community.

Thanks for having me!

Have you been lurking for a while? This site gives proper advice which may seem contrary.

Hey thanks for getting back to me. So the plan is to build a 12v battery powered system which is small and portable. We would like to mount it on a trailer for demonstrations and street parties but also we want to be able to carry it into the woods or the beach away form the road so it has to be modular with each cab comfortably carried by one person. The other thing that would be great is if we can bring half the rig for small parties, say 20 to 50 people or the full rig for 50 to 100 people, so ideally I'd like to come up with some flexible electronics which would allow this.

Our biggest restriction is that we've already build the subs. They are a pair of Tham12s deigned by Martinsson. I'm trying to decide on a mid top design that would go with these. I started a thread already about the suitability and difference between SLApros and DR200. That is here: viewtopic.php?p=294435#p294435

Anyway so that's the plan. I'd be interested in your thoughts. When I have some proper questions I'll ask them here!
