Jack Lite 12 with Piezos… EQ Tips

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

If only vocals are in the PA, then that's the least of your problems in that room. High pass the vocals at 150hz and EQ to taste. Your problems are going to come from all the amps.....especially the bass amp.

I'm as old as school gets, and everything goes through the PA. It's not about volume, it's about dispersion. Even the bass, although it should be high passed at 150-200Hz in most cases. Even in a large room or outdoors the bass should be high passed at 70-80Hz, so the sound through the PA is reasonably close to the backline.Totally AFU bass is the result of not doing that.

Bah! Good to know (two weeks ago!)

Bruce is your man. I have nothing to add value to the conversation. The only thing I know about mixing a performance that way is everyone keeps turning up until there is no more up. Then the bassist gets a bigger amp. Then the guitarist gets a bigger amp. Then the bassist turns up. Then the guitarist turns up. Then everyone goes def.

My best advice; sell the mixer and IEM's. Invest in ear plugs.
Build in process - 2 WH6, one Alpha 6a loaded, one PRV Audio 6MB250-NDY loaded

Two 2x6 shorty SLA Pro's
One T39, 16", 3012LF loaded
Tall AutoTuba, 20" wide, 2x 8" MCM 55-2421
TruckTuba, 8½" wide, 2x 8" MCM 55-2421

IEMs: I do and the keyboard player does. I don't want a backline any longer. I think I can get the drummer to switch. The guitar probably never will!

I'll be putting the bass amps up for sale next week except for 1 small one.

No sound on stage, guys and gals!

Well, that's confusing. You said only vocals in the PA.....

Maybe it's time to restate exactly what you are trying to do.
