Hello from Maine

#1 Post by AudioSlave »

Hi, everyone. New member from up in the great state of Maine.
I’ve got a pretty nice woodworking shop setup in my basement, and fortunate enough to to be able to use some of the equipment there as time allows :)
I’ve been all over the place as far as speaker builds… conventional box speakers galore, horn speakers, Hybrid custom CornScalas, Linkwitz LX521.4, Subs, single point stuff, transmission lines… you name it. Upcoming will be my first horn loaded sub attempt. HT Tuba Low Profile, eventually 2 of them.
I’m hoping to build the sub(s) and then start a Belle Klipsch clone project. I thought the HT Tuba might be able to keep up with the high sensitivity and speed of the fully horn loaded speakers such as the Belle and LaScala. The existing LX521’s in my living room are super sweet, but I miss the impact of my horn loaded speakers.
Hopefully I’ll start a build thread when I get started and keep y’all posted on my projects.

Welcome to the forum!

I have two THTLPs accompanying my La Scalas. The THTLPs go nicely with them.
