Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022
Hi All,
I've just had an unexpected window of opportunity, so I'll be looking to do an upgrade of the site tomorrow.
I'll be putting it into read only mode tomorrow morning (UK time) and once the backups are complete, I'll start the upgrade.
Everything should be back up and running by lunchtime, so most may not even notice that it changed.
There may be a few changes in look until I finalise the configuration change.
Thanks.
Chris.

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022
Hi Chris,
Just a mention that the batch message deletion in the private messages is still not functioning. The only way to delete messages is to open each one individually and delete them. Any chance there's a fix for that in this update?
Also, I find myself needing to delete conversations I would rather keep to open new incoming messages. It would be great to have a little more private message storage available, if that's an option that fits within whatever constraints there are to consider.
I appreciate you Chris

Seth, I don't know if it is still possible but, years ago, I would start a new folder once a folder got full. This way I could still keep the old conversations while saving more current ones.

I didn't know that was an option. Great solution Tom!
Gave it a try, and was able to add a folder, no problem.
Except, there's no way to move the messages into the new folder... same reason we can't delete from the inbox. Button doesn't work.

Only able to add 4 folders though. Still 4x better than the one.

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022
I've checked as much as I can and I believe everything is working correctly - there is bound to be something I've missed!
We are currently using the older style as there is some editing I need to do with the new to make it look the same but I'm having caching issues which aren't reflecting the changes.
Everything should be a little quicker with a few new features here and there.
If you spot anything that doesn't look correct, post on this thread and I'll look into it.
Chris.

I also found a missing auto-rotate flag on the image resizer, so hopefully we shouldn't have any pictures with weird orientations anymore.

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022
Things to be completed tomorrow:
- Upgrade lightbox (the fancy thing that shows the pictures)
- Fix Tapatalk: it's been broken forever/never worked
- Release the updated style (Think I've fixed everything, just waiting for the cache to catch up so I can validate)
- Fix the errors in splchart

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022
That's usually caused by taking pictures with a phone holding the phone vertically. Unless you want a picture to be in portrait format the phone should be held horizontally. Many forums will show pictures in landscape format whether the photo was taken in landscape format or not.Chris_Allen wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:45 am I also found a missing auto-rotate flag on the image resizer, so hopefully we shouldn't have any pictures with weird orientations anymore.
