I tried to set this up Saturday but the wind (I forgot about that LOL) had a 90db noise floor during gusts so it was aborted.CarterKraft wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 11:14 am I was thinking something like you suggested Seth, possibly rotated more towards the South but in that corner is fine for me, it is open for a long way behind that tree line.
I will take more video for sure, the videos were taken by my son who has a totally different video style than myself.
This is a satellite view to help with some scale. I have plenty of schools with large open parking lots but I am not sure if I can get a better/lower noise floor at them. I will set up here and give it a run, if I run into problems I'll find a new location.

I would.CarterKraft wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 9:37 amI found a new 1.5" to 2" foam mattress topper when cleaning up recently. I currently have quilt batting stapled in the cabinet, would it be worth it to swap the batting for the mattress topper foam when I pull it down again to duratex?Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:24 amYou need to do that before any more testing.CarterKraft wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:28 am
I also realized I skipped the dampening foam (I guess I got too excited) so I need to revisit that.

There's no advantage to foam over polyester batting when they're of equal thickness.

Re: Finally! Omni 12 Tall Boy build
The batting is much thinner really in my installation.
It would take another layer I bet to get equivalent thickness.

Re: Finally! Omni 12 Tall Boy build
Worked on the final details today. I bought a corner handle that I thought was going to be perfect but evidently I can't read a tape measure and it is sized perfectly for a toddler...
I did what I had planned on doing originally, build a handle from 3/4 EMT and wood. This was a little more challenging than I thought, but in the end it came out awesome.
I'm working on a 2 LED, aux input panel for the front and a rear panel with power source selection switch, AC input power jack and a GX16 aviation connector for the DSP programmer.
Both panels will be inset 1" with proper 3/8" radius on the cutout.
I am still thinking about adding dynamic bass knob, but it might get hidden somewhere, I have learned that people like to turn knobs when presented with the opportunity.
As usual pix are sideways but will be correct when clicked.

I'm glad you got the "up"...."side" right, LOL. Anyway, well done... you did a great job.

I promise I'm gonna get the pix situation figured out before this is over

In case I got misunderstood, I meant the pocket for the grab handle.

Got the LED, aux port installed. I'll paint the aluminum plate before permanent installation and glue it in with some silicone.
Phase one of the logo is installed, this is a thin piece of plywood around 1/8" hopefully I can make it look good when it gets duratexed. I haven't decided exactly how I am going to handle that just yet.

Got the rear panel installed. Power button selects battery or 5.5mm power port for AC power brick. The 6 pin GX16 connection is for the KPX programmer to the DSP chip so it can be remotely programmed with out having to open the cabinet.
