Simplexx 1x10 sealed / BR Power Handling

#1 Post by Particledust »

Hello,

could someone tell me the power handling with the Eminence BP102 for the sealed / and BR Simplexx 1x10?

It would be used with a 120W 8 Ohm Solid State Amp or with a 100W Tube Amp , just for practice / home / studio use.

For usage with the tube amp i would prefer the sealed cabinet version (more friendly impedance curve).

or should i go for the next bigger driver mentioned xmax wise?

Thanks in advance!

60 watts at 60Hz sealed, 200 watts at 60Hz ported. What really matters is that the ported version has 5dB higher sensitivity and 10dB higher maximum SPL. The ported maximum impedance is 32 ohms at 76Hz, the sealed maximum impedance is 43 ohms at 60Hz, so the ported is actually better suited to a tube amp.
