QSC amplifier terminal blocks

#1 Post by J_Dunavin »

I have a QSC CX502 that i will be pairing in a rack with my Drive Rack. I noticed the QSC has the option for terminal blocks for the inputs.
The manual doesn't give a part number, but does later refer to them as Phoenix type.
I did measure the connector on the amp and I believe it would be a 5mm pitch.
Does anyone happen to have two of these?

I bought a bunch of install style amps that have only that style input, no XLR inputs. Those look the same as what's on mine.

Why would you want to use the phoenix connector when it will take an xlr? Once you use those, you are killing your ability to swap on the fly in case of a failure. They really are for the install guys who don't use xlrs.

Only because it would be in a rack with the Driverack, always together. I’ll still have a stack of XLR cables should the need arise. Besides it’ll help keep my DIY case a few inches shorter.

Yup.
The 5mm should be correct.

I just ordered some last week for some crown amps.
Authorized Builder - Phoenix AZ.
Main Rig - 6 DR200s - 6 T48s (30")
SLA Pros for the smaller stuff.
