Cross over for Jack 12 with Delta lite and ASD ?

#1 Post by u4david »

Jack 12 with Delta lite II 2512

and 2x ASD1001B
https://www.amazon.com/Eminence-ASD1001 ... cx_mi&th=1

I need to get the remaining el. parts.

Understand I need to build cross over >"For high power output at very long throws dual ASD 1001 compression drivers with a 2kHz crossover are recommended"
What is the components to build low/high crossover?

PS: I'm looking at the planes PDF , confused on what 3d and 4th order means.
Thank you.

If you haven't bought all the drivers and components yet, get 'em from Leland at speakerhardware.com
The kit will include everything you need and it will probably be cheaper (and certainly easier) than trying to source the crossover parts.

6 - T39 3012LF
4 - OT12 2512
1 - T24
1 - SLA Pro
2 - XF210

In the PDF it is page 25 -to first half of page 28
With 12 Delta Lite and 2x ASD.

I would like configuration where I can switch the ASD off, only turn on one or both on as needed.
Where would the 3 phase switch would be located in the circuit?
Then what by-pass and cross over and other el. parts do I need to get the best full range sound, and then with ASD turned off (or on) the best Bass sound as well?
Can you draw out the full circuit with parts needed pls?

Thank you.

You can use an on/off switch between the input jack and the high pass filter input to turn off the ASDs. You can't turn them off individually. That would require that each ASD have its own filter. I can't see the need to turn off ASDs at all, since you should only be using them if the cab is being used for PA. That's where maximum long throw of high frequencies is required.
