How important is the 20 degree angle of the Baffle?

#1 Post by mbmurray »

Can the angle of the Baffle Board be pushed to 25 degrees? The reason I ask is I have built an Oversized 1x12 Guitar Cabinet with 3/4” Pine and finger joints. I would like to make it a Crossfired 2x10 using Eminence 10” Speakers I have and not build another Cabinet from scratch. This Cabinet has Tolex and matches my Amp Head. The width of current Baffle Board is 18.5” and to fit 2 10” Speakers require 25 Degree angles and 10.25” width. Thanks in advance for any advice given.

You could go to a higher angle, but it's not as easy as it might appear. I don't think I could have done the original design without the aid of sketchup, which I'm an expert using, and even with it the process was daunting with all the angles involved.
