Gallien Krueger 1001RB-II need a cabinet

Hello
My son has acquired a Gk 1001RB-II head and is looking for a cabinet to match. Which of the speakers designs do you think would be a good fit similar to the GK 115 RBH or 410 RBH cabinets? He plays live gigs so something that is manageable in terms of size and weight and that will produce reasonably good sound is what we are wanting.
Thanks

Hello and welcome!
Interestingly, what many bass players want for their rigs, is almost always the worst thing to do when it comes to the physics of sound.
Especially so if a further down the track plan were to be to use a 15 AND a 4 x 10.

Why? Inherently, a 4 x 10 has significant comb filtering. And the differing phase response of a 15 cab AND a 4 x 10 cab trying to reproduce the content in the same pass band leads to frequency cancellations.

You will find cabs that take a 15 or a 2 x X" driver in the simplexx section, or look at the Jack 15.

What a lot of bass players here have done quite successfully, is to build multiple Jack 10's (or 12's), and stack them vertically...
