What does one do with a gang of HL-10C drivers? Why, how about a quad of 15" wide, top-loading T48's?

Old school.
I had envisioned a component subwoofer solution with output similar to the famed Klipsch MWM. Something that could be scaled up or down depending upon application, but also versatile in bandwidth. Stupid loud outdoors, but also comfortable being set up for digging nice and deep indoors.

Remember the thread about my first Festool being a sander? Well, finally got around to piecing together the rest of that system, along with some additional TSO gear to help out. I promised myself I wouldn't tackle another large cabinet build without some better equipment:

Nice gear......that Festool stuff is top-end....and expensive!

Thanks Bruce. It was ramen noodles and water there for a good while.

At one point, I had wondered about loading a T48 with a 10" or 8" driver. I'll enjoy watching these come together.

Out of curiosity, why the (old) top loading design instead of the front load?

Can't speak for Radian, but i think the old style looks better with the smooth front instead of the visible cover with the screws.

He may have had them sit on a shelve in his garage for a while. I have a few drivers in the house that will show up one day. It seems such a day has come for Radian.

Paint the screws.

From a couple folks here liquidating stock a few years back. Have been sitting on them for what seems like an eternity. Two are from Ken. Seemed fitting to put them at home in a BF cab after all this time.

Never would have thought something like the 3010lf would ever get made, so I kept them on hand for a project like this. They're just such a bad-ass looking driver.

Ripping the sheets down to size. Will tackle the side panels tomorrow.

Got the side panels cut to size today using the MFT and table dogs. Eventually I'll try out the cross-cut jig that came with the MFT. Using the guide dogs, all eight outer panels came out perfectly square and all +/- 1/32" in dimension. New territory for me. A person could get used to that.

I'm dedicating this build to my Dad.

After spending a peaceful day knocking out pristine BB panels and quietly listening to some grooves through the earbuds, I realized just how much that man taught me about being a craftsman.

When I build, because of his influence and early tutilage, it is art.

This system is being built to serve a purpose, not simply to entertain...but as a critical tool to deliver the message of my future customers.

More can be said, but I don't want to gush. Today was five hours of therapy. It's been a long time since I've been this relaxed while in shop-mode. Many thanks to him, the man upstairs, and Bill for continuing to provide great designs and a place to talk about them.
