Using 3/4" ply for Omni 15 Tallboy

Hi all,
Working on some Omni 15 TallBoys in Scotland.
We already had a lot of really nice quality 3/4 inch ply leftover from a previous job, so we decided to do the build out of it due to a limited budget. Also the only 1/2 ply available nearby was Chinese hardwood and its pretty terrible quality.
Extra weight isn't such an issue for us, and we couldn't see any other major drawbacks of using this thicker wood.
Though we are doing the horn our of 1/2 ply to make cutting easier. (is this a bad idea?)
By using this thicker ply for the cab, do we still need to build the same kind of internal supports? Also is there any notable changes we should be making before constructing the cab? Have finished all of the cutting, and gluing starts this weekend so just wanted to ask before then...
We have made the base and top a little bit wider to account for the thicker wood, but other than that we aren't really making any changes...
Thanks
Seb
