I have a used Ashly FTX-2001 that has an issue where one channel cuts out, but always comes back if I crank up the volume. Doesn't have to be full blast, but louder than casual volume. I can turn it back down to a comfortable volume, but inevitably it cuts out again. Dirty rheostat?

Could be, or more likely a bad cap.
If a potentiometer was bad it would most likely cut out at the same volume every time, not over time... if that makes sense.

Shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out which cap
