T24 Slim - interior panel width

#1 Post by J_Dunavin » Thu Jul 12, 2018 10:22 pm

I know that the minimum width for the T24 is 16", which i would think would make all the interior pieces 15", but the plans call for 15.75" width interior. Is that just a typo, or is 16.75 the real min width?

I searched through the different versions of plans for the T24, and finally found the 15.75" in the original plan. The idea is that the panels are initially cut to this width (not Length), and later when each panel is to be installed, it is cut to the final dimensions (of which would be the 15" internal width).

Correct, and the reason for 15.75" rather than 16" is to allow for the width of the saw cut when you're cutting three panel sets from a 48" wide plywood sheet.
