#1 Post by PrismAudio »

electronic music that been played through my rig. It plays
psy the best. Last night i had a 4 otop, 4 T60 rig out. The system plays all music really well. But psy trance it just does one step better im not sure how or why.

even members of my crew made the same observations.

I'm a fan of both kinds of music: rhythm and blues.

I've got no problem with the music, but the cowboy hats I can do without.

I just find it downright stupid that if you're a country and western singer you feel like you have to wear a cowboy hat. You know who should wear cowboy hats? Cowboys, and their mamas all taught them that you take it off when you enter the house.
BTW, I'm not a Yankee. :cussing: I live in Red Sox country. :hyper:

Yeah, but all those rappers and kids wear their baseball caps backwards and they aren't catchers or welders.

I typically wear a ball cap when I play country...mainly to keep the shine out of the audience's eyes.

But, when I play the local Country Music Show, I wear a hat since it's a classic country show for old people and it's kinda' expected.

Years ago, there was a country venue here that was really beautiful inside. You could wear your hat in the building, but not on the dance floor.....late 60s early 70s. By the time I was playing there in '77, there were new owners and hats were everywhere.

Had a band sneak in a few country songs through my DR's a few weeks ago :cussing: . They still sound twangy to this day :wall: . Over the holidays I'll take the drivers out and scrub the voice coils with WD-40. Hope that will help :fingers: .
Built:
17" width 10" driver Autotuba
2 x 29" width dual Lab12 Tuba60
6 x DR250 2510/asd1001
In progress:
2 x DR250 2510/asd1001
For best results, point the loud end of the array towards the audience

I don't hate the music, just the stupid hats. Besides, today's country isn't exactly what we used to call shit kicker hillbilly. I bet this would be Hank Williams reaction on hearing most of what's now called country:

No question about that. I'm not interested in the "Bro Country" or pop stuff at all.....which means I haven't learned a country song that isn't at least 30 years old in a long time.

I definitely likes me some Merle and George.... and old Ray Price......

Hell, I just did a solo country CD this last spring of stuff I've written over the years.....just because I wanted 'em recorded before I kick the bucket.

But, I do miss playing all the Allman Brothers stuff with my old band......I guess I'm pretty easy to please - a good song is a good song, regardless of genre.

I love how this thread went from Psy Trance (Don't know that genre , but I am interested) to old school country. I can listen to all music, from Bach to Zeppelin, but draw the line at Thug rap- That includes thud corrido's Spanish version of thug rap :cop: . And yes that includes Tejano and Cumbias. and I am not afraid to wear a cowboy hat :cowboy: Bills designs make all music sound better
