#1 Post by Rich4349 »

Local church is going out of business, selling their gear.

Topaz project 8 by Soundtracs, 64 ch mixer, $800. Deal, steal, or junk?
2 DR250s, 2 27" Lab15 T-60s, 2 30" Neo Titan 39s, 1 Autotuba...and looking for more!

I just can't see large format mixers being all that useful anymore. If you have a studio space to put it in, it might be impressive looking, but the cabling will take you forever if you put in proper patchbays, etc. and you'll still need converters if you are using a digital recording platform like ProTools.

There's a reason you can get a board that big for $800.....there is no demand.

Agreed. For less than you'd have to put into it in outboard gear to make it work properly, you could buy an Si Impact and stagebox and have a better rig.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.
