t39 x-over

No one is more amazed than I am that I have just completed my T39 box. I have lots of sanding still to do, as well as the wiring...

I am planning to put the x-over inside the speaker chamber, but am wondering how I keep everything from rattling. The big inductor can be screwed down, but how about the other capacitors? Should I glue them down? I have also thought about making the x-over on a little piece of 1/2 or 1/4" plywood that could be screwed or glued down inside the box. I could glue the caps to that... but since I have never done this... not sure how to procede? Hot glue? PL? Some other way of fastening them?

That's usually how it's done. Make sure nothing can vibrate.

I've used a double layer of masonite perfboard and use the holes to run cable ties /straping and pull components tight to board and use a minimum of glue (to allow easy repair or later reuse of parts).

1/8" hardboard/masonite works pretty good. Zip-ties if you are gonna be swapping components, hot glue is a quick and fairly permanant solution. Use E6000, GOOP, SHOE GOO, or LEXEL if you never want to remove the componants ever again.
