Anybody seen these things? Either Bill gave this guy a license or he modified something to get around Bills designs. But damn they look similar

I'll take a punt and suggest Hennessey Sound is known to many of us in this forum.
He used to run a bunch of T48's, and, as far as I know, still uses 2 x 12" loaded Otops for mains, and has built all his own cabs.

Along the way, he also got right into design theory, and seems to have done extensive research.
And is now producing his own cabs, no doubt, some of which, have been largely influenced by Bill and Bill's designs. As in thinner ply well braced etc etc.
Still, folded horns are by no means a new idea.
The trick in making cab size manageable is the art of folding the horn, and actually getting the response that the sims say the cab will once made.
You could use up a whole heap of ply getting there.
It will be interesting to see how he has gone with measurements vs sims.

Still, he does not discuss them here, as this is Bill's forum.
And as such, your thread should have been put in "everything else"...

The photos show Bob's shop and nightclub in RI.

That's what led to my assumption.

Hey guys. None of our cabs resemble bill's.

Hennessey Sound Design is a partnership between Hifibob and myself. Both of us have built and used many BFM cabs and Bob still features 12 lab15 tuba 60 in his club in providence Rhode island, as well as 8 dr280.

We started designing our own cabs for other reasons, if you wish to discuss any of our designs and any similarity you perceive to Bills designs send me a pm. I will direct you to a link to direct communication off site, as this page is intended solely for discussion of bills plans and their implementation and construction.

There are pictures on the site of a T30 clone, a THTLP knock-off, T60s and DR280s. That would naturally lead one to believe that you're selling them.

Bill, there is no t30 clone (none of the cabs are remotely close in size to the t30). There is no thtlp knockoff (that box is 27x60x30 for obvious reasons, and loaded with an 18). The Dr280s and t60s shown are in bobs club, the only dr280s that have been sold were flatpacks that bob made for Lelands reselling purposes.

Regardless that website is a soon to be purged early page that served as a landing page from our Facebook page. We have another website now. I will refrain from posting it here on your page.
