Ok, all you guys that don't think guitard players get it......

Running sound tonight at a club filling in for a friend. I told the guitar player that stage volume is a problem in this place and I'd appreciate if he faced his amp so he could hear it and not get out front too much......he said, "I'll lay it on it's back". Of course, I thought he was joking....

Went about my business getting everything miked up....turned around and this is what he did. He wasn't kidding...
Obviously, this guy has done this before. It worked great - I was able to get him out front in the mix and he played his ass off.

So, yes......there are pros out there that get it.

It would make an interesting picture of a band where the entire backline was lying down.

It also reduces reflections from open backed cabs.
