Power Amp Question

If an amp is rated to use 15 amps, does it pull that much all the time or if it's actually working wide open?

That's the maximum it should pull at 100% duty cycle, which almost never happens.

Just for reference.....

Last Saturday, I did an outside show with my full system - 6 subs, 4 tops, four separate monitor mixes, the board (and my fan).

That included 1-Crown XTi2000, 3-Crown XLS1500, 1-Crown XLS2500, 1-Crown XLS1000, 3-drivereacks.....all on a single circuit. It may have been 20 amps, but I'm thinking it was 15.

Running it pretty danged hot.

No issues.
