I'm about ready to pull the trigger on putting together my next bass rig. I'm considering a Presonus Studio Channel preamp connecting to up to 2 J12s with 3 way switchable melded arrays, depending on where we play. On power amps, it seems QSC units might be the choice, but I hear Crowns are also good. The QSC unit I'm considering is the GX3, Crown looks like XLi 1500. These two seem to be in the same price range. When I purchase, I might go for "B" stock, if the warranty is the same.

Ideas, opinions, whatever, all accepted.

With the GX3 and the XLi weighing in at over 27 pounds each.....I'd look at the Crown XLS 1000 - only 10 pounds and plenty of power for two Jacks. Should be able to find 'em used all day...
