ok...so after some fight with a pair of DR250 (which are just awsome), i'll continue my journey with a pair of Jack 112.
The goal is to have something that can do anything, including sending my custom jazz bass sound.

You should find the Jack a whole lot easier to build than the DR250.

as the weather is becoming finally quite nice, i've settled a little bit my workshop and so discovered i've a Jack to cook !
My god it's really easier to build than the DR !
some pictures of my work to go:

- with the top

- :)
and i've also started a Tuba 30 21" wide:

well today i've tried my tuba30....WOW !
impressed !
it's still unpainted, waiting for the epoxy to come home

bu the sound is yet very nice, a good thump under 120 Hz, like a kick in the foundations

so i've fully epoxied my 112s on the outside and painted'em black...
i'm just mounting the hardware now...few hours before the final countdown

well well well...
this afternoon, i had few hours to spend.
So i've tried these two babes.
What could i say ?
first i was a little bit disappointed...they sounded a little bit harsh...think it's the correct expression.
a little bit too nasal .
some tweeking with the eq latter...wooof ! huge ! quite impressed 'bout the amount of bass these boxes are abble to drive.
Then i've tried the association with my DR250 and my Tuba30...retweeking with the eq and in few minutes i've reached a very articulated sound with really no effort...and without using the autoeq function of my deq2496. I prefer to use my ears.
i think that in the next future i'll build 3 more tuba30 and probably 4 Jacks or Otop12...

That is good news! Are you going to be using these with your band?

of course yes !!!!
i'll try them probably next sunday for the "music day festival"

the only question is: is my car large enough to bring all the sound stuff, two musicians with their guitars (acoustic set) ?
i'm afraid i'll have to switch for a van sooner or later...

Buy a van. I'll never own a car again.

Oh dear god. You are hooked. We may need to stage an intervention. I will bring appetizers, does anyone have some speakers they can bring for the party? If not, maybe I will build some more.
