Hey everyone,

after building a few t48 and a t18 I'm deciding on my next project and I thought that little TLC for my car would be nice.

I've had a little Skoda Fabia 2 for the past 5 or 6 years which not only proved to be a very handy car ( I take the T48 and Rack with amps in it) but also has nice accoustics in it.

But after much abuse the speakers have gone a bit tired over the years so it's now time to change.

I have never opened the door panels to check the correct speaker size but from what I found out a big array of spacers exist so I can have different sizes.

I also have tweeter holes built in so I don't need a multi way speakers I guess.

I still have to measure to see if I can fit an AT on the back but I guess it won't be a problem. it fits a T18 on it's side with no big issue.

Also, my plan is to change the receiver for something with Android in it, I was thinking about the Sony's XSP N1BT but depends on how expensive the rest gets.

Finally it's imperative that all the subwoofer setup is removable from the back. because I need to carry a lot of stuff a lot of times.

Oh and just to finish, I'm not looking to win any wattage competition or SPL competition or anything like that.

Just want an affordable way to replace everything and improve it all the same.

If at all possible it would be nice to not need to rely on the sub to have decent low output so I don't have to carry it all the time. but of course pack a punch when I turn it up ;)

Any thoughts?

Thanks guys.

and a happy new year to everyone ! :D

Happy New Year as well!
That sony is pretty neat, I don't think i have ever seen that before.
As an option, you could also do somehting like this:
http://www.kenwood.com/usa/car/receiver/dpx500bt/
Then you could bluetooth your pandora, or phone/pm3 player in instead, but it is more money.
You would also have more options if you went with a single din radio. You could still do bluetooth in or you could do it even cheaper if you could get by with just an aux in.
Whatever speakers you decide to go with, in my experiance a decent amp and some signal proccesing will make a big difference.
Auto tuba is awesome! I put a speakon jack on mine, so i could disconect it and take it out of the car

Hey hey,

to be honest I'm looking more into the android functionality rather than the bluetooth aspect of it.

I have a OnePlus ONE which has a great screen and to be able to use it for the maps / music / video / etc is perfect.

That sony states a 4x55w capability, I was thinking if I use that for the tweeters and get a separate one for both sub and door speakers.

any amp brands anyone may recommend ?

Generally, if it's 55wx4 it really means 20wx4 RMS.
I think the AT will juuuuust fit.
I've mentioned before that the Silverflute woofers got good reviews. http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/silver-flute/
