Hey guys, thought I'd keep a build log as I try to build 3 T48s at the same time, using only hand tools in a one car garage. I plan on doing one or two panels a day.

I've already built one T48, and I was going to try to make two at a time, but that would have left me with 3 in the end, and I need four

Make sure that the side panel is totally flat all the time as you install each successive panel. We don't want you to have problems further on down the line.

Yep! I plan on adjusting the side's position on the sawhorses for the rigidity of each panel I install.

If you keep that grow light on too long, you might end up with titan 96's .

Had some baffle cutting issues... Took me an extra 23x48 to get it right

Looking good.The way i have learned to avoid wasting wood or cutting panels the wrong way is to draw dotted lines like this (---------)on the width side of the panels so i know not to cut that side.That cuts out ALOT of confusion and i havent cut a panel wrong since i have been doing this.

I buy 4x8 sheets of BB and have the local hardware store cut them into 23x48 sheets for me. (unless I need sides, then 24x48). This means all of my panels are already the correct width. I just have a stack of 23x48's laying on my floor (maybe dewarping?)

I just accidentally cut a baffle in a rhombus shape, rather than a trapezoid, then cut another 2in short for some reason (probably the beer), and also had to recut a mounting ring

uh oh.... 4x8, baltic birch, hardware store. 3 words I never want to see in succession. Have you verified your baltic birch is either true baltic birch (from baltic region, USUALLY 5x5), or "domestic birch" produced in the US, and not "chinese birch, which features a poplar core faces with 2 VERRRRY thin birch veneers on the faces (which will totally ruin a butt joint)?

Aha, I didn't say I buy the BB at the hardware store

I pay 55 bucks a sheet at a specialty lumber warehouse, then take them to the hardware store for 50c a cut!

fwew (though the big box stores usually still sell at around 50 a sheet for the chinese crap).

^^^there goes a 23 x 52" piece of wood lol.I'm doing 2 of them and i havent wasted a piece of wood or made a bad cut on this build.Marking the width's works for me but i also mark the angle to be cut on the side so when i place the wood on the saw there is no doubt as to which way my angle should be.
