I currently have 3 T48's,soon to be 4 as I already have the 4th 3015LF.I have been powering 2 T48's with a Peavey 2000.I want the ability to be able to give either 2 or 4 T48's 58-60 volts, adjusting the limiter in my DCX2496 according to the required voltage and amount of cabs used. The Peavey2000 is 400 watts@8 0hms (56.5volts) and 700 watts@4 ohms (approx.53volts).

1) how much of an audible difference is there in 56.5 volts and 60 volts ?
2) I want to buy a lightweight amp as it will go in a single rack along with the power conditioner,DEQ2496,DCX2496 and a CrownXLS1500.Any suggestions ?

You won't hear a scrap of difference between the two voltages.

You don't need to adjust the voltage depending on how many cabs you use. A voltage limit is a voltage limit, either for one cab or 1000 or any amount in between.

Your lightweight amp needs to be over 60V/channel, 60V into 5 ohms (2 cabs in parallel) = 720W. So a bit more than that...
