Other type of finish?

#1 Post by Hecdtec »

I'm just about done with a pair of Jack15's and would like to finish them. I priced the Duratex @ $55/gal + $15 shipping + tax BC company is in my state. Any other type of external paint I can finish them with? :bash:

Be thankful for small mercies. Getting Duratex here costs 4 times that!

There's nothing that matches Duratex for ease of application and professional cabinet like finish all achieved with a 2 dollar textured roller.

Duratex is not available here. The next best thing costs €25 per liter, ex delivery. Look up the exchange rate €/$ and, most importantly, how many liters there are in a gallon. You don't know how lucky you are over there in the US.

Sure, if you want them to look like home made cabs that are painted. If you want them to look as good as anything coming out of a factory use DuraTex. You put too much work into them to cheap out on the finish.

I always thought the US gallon was 4L, so there ya go!

If it was an imperial gallon it would be 4.5L
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Just wouldn't sound right to say that John Wayne wears a 37.8 liter hat.
