The THT or the Mic?
THT: I'm loving it! I re-wired it parallel instead of series and it pounds with MUCH more authority.
Mic: It records loud sound surpringly well for being soo small. I'm not sure if I loaded the calibration file correctly on my phone as I cannot get the thing to register anything higher than 103db. It supposedly reads to 127db. All I can get is 103db at the couch. I thought that seemed quite low so I put it at the mouth..103db.

You need to set the "reference point" for the mic. It doesn't measure absolute spl's like an SPL meter does.
If you're using REW (room equalizer wizard) then you can do the following:
--click spl meter (button/icon), click calibrate
-- follow instructions that they give you (Something along the lines of adjust the spl here so that it matches your SPL meter. Then you will be able to measure +- 10-15 dB from that "reference point" based on the dynamic range of the mic.
Note:
This is how you can get a "unweighted" result using a combination of SPL meter and mic. You use a test tone at ~60-80 Hz on the C-weighted SPL meter to set the level of the mic and then use the mic on Z-weighted/unweighted to measure the music/sound. If this doesn't make sense let me know and I can try to clarify.

I would be worried here, wiring a 4 ohm dvc into 2 ohms can kill some amps. tread carefully.SRTnewb wrote:The THT or the Mic?

Too many words for old folks. Can you actually understand the words??? Bass is hard to determine for IPhone or camera or what ever was used. But, I'm sure if it was Bill designed to spec it's awesome

So after a few drinks one day I decided it would be a good idea to play a 15hz sine at god knows what voltage..it lasted about 5 seconds. Now my amp won't even power on. Picked up a cheap 235w plate amp for the mean time and the beast is back up and running.
Also, yes..I can understand the words and the bass is glorious. If you watch the video with a pair of good headphones it sounds a little better.
