Not sure I want to know the answer - because its too late, but I was a little confused wrt bracing.
If building a 39" 2x12 T60 do you use 3 or 4 braces(1/2" brace material).
Please be 3, please be 3.

From the plan : "The braces are spaced no more than 8 1/2 inches apart". For the maximum width with 3 spacers, the math gives me 4x8.5"=34". Your 39" needs 4 set of braces.
39" is really wide. I hope you will never have to haul this beast. You don't plan to get it through any doorframe, do you?

If it's too late, then you will have three braces.
Three sets of braces gives a 9.5" to 9.75" span (depending on if the 39" is an internal or external measurement).
The guidance on the T39 and T48 is a 6" to 8" span. I would have used four sets of braces, giving a 7.4" to 7.8" span.

The plans also say: "3 sets of braces for wider than 26 inches". I went with 3 because it spaced out in the middle of the drivers in the baffle and that's where sketchup shows it.
Yea, this thing is a beast to lift/move. It is meant for my shop sound system - so it won't be moved.

The Sketchup 2x12 is 29 inches wide.

I did realize that the sketchup was 29 inches - just made the apparently false assumption that the brace would be best served over the center of the baffle.
This is my 3rd BF build and I am extremely happy with the quality of the plans and the results.
Just a suggestion, but perhaps rewording the following sentences would prevent others from misinterpreting(as three others I just asked to read came up with the same iinterpretation as I.)
The braces are spaced no more than 81⁄2 inches apart. A single brace is adequate for 17 inch wide panels, two sets of braces for 18 to 26 inch panels, 3 sets of braces for wider than 26 inches.

THe first part is the important one. no more than 8 1/2 inches apart. the rest is there to save some people the hassle of doing math.

Hi Rickisan - didn't realize there were any builders in this area.
I'm not too worried about the spacing - its only 0.625" off spec.
(38" - (3*.5))/4=9.125" apart.
Given how well braced Bill's designs are compared to everything else I've seen + the fact this will be used for an audience of just 1 or two, I doubt it will be pushed hard enough to cause problems...
btw: took me about a year but I found a great BB supplier about 1 hour from Tallahassee.

TP,
Yes... the place in Bristol? or is it Blountstown? I can never keep those towns straight. East of the River or West of the River.... whatever.
He makes weekly trips in to Tallahassee and delivered me three 5x5 1/2" BB for around $100. Great to deal with!
I built two Jacks and one W8 with the BB. First W8 is Radiata/Auroco and somewhat lighter. Gonna compare the weight difference on those two and likely will use the Radiata from now on for the little bit of weight savings.
We have an independent building supply outfit 5mins from me stocking the Radiata so very lucky there.
Ok enough about me. Good you are happy with the Bracing!

Yup, the place in Blountstown - forget the name of the place but great people and lots of exotic stock with woods from across the planet.
They also had some decent looking Radiata.
wrt bracing, last night I remembered the other reason I went with 3 vs 4. With 38" inside panels, and using solid braces on the baffle(panel 3/6 brace) you would basically end up with dead air between the innermost braces.
