Truck platform with drawers.....

Just thought I'd post another project...
My business partner goes to Montana bird hunting with his dogs. He asked me a couple of weeks ago to build a set of drawers for the bed of his truck that would hold his guns and gear.....and a place for the dogs to ride.
So this is what I came up with. All 1/2" baltic birtch.....the wings on the side are to keep the dogs from getting into the voids and breaking a leg. It turned out pretty good....

Well thought out Bruce.
Your duck hunting season is same time of year as ours - around Autumn.

Thanks. He won't be hunting ducks. His dogs are trained to flush and fetch....on land. I guess they are after other fowl critters.

I can imagine a dog sliding around on that quite a lot, has your man got something cosy for the hounds to chill out on whilst he's rolling around the joint?

Oh yeah......they'll have carpet. Most of the time they will be in the back seat of the truck or in their kennels in the back. When the kennels are out - they get the carpet.
These are high-dollar dogs that have been to multi-month schooling - he's not going to mistreat them. They live like queens at home - inside and out.....even occasionally coming to work with him.

I figured he would but I thought I'd ask, I've seen dogs sliding about in cars and it annoys me to no end. Nice job on those anyway...
