DCX2496 issues...

I'm experiencing an issue with a couple of the output channels on my DCX. Channels 4 & 5 start out working ok for a couple of mins, then become distorted, sounding much like a radio out of tune/range. The static/white noise is constant, some audio can still be heard behind the noise.
My guess would be faulty D/A convertors on these channels.

Has anyone else exerienced this issue?

Is it likely to be related to the loose ribbon connector issues other have mentioned? (ie; worth opening her up for a look)
Thanks

Not that particular one. I also haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere.

Absolutely! Mine came to me new in box, went from the USA to Queensland, then QLD to me when I was in NSW.
Opened the box up, set it up, starting using it and it immediately started dropping out across the board, but in my case, powering down, then powering up again.
Popped the top, unplugged then reseated the ribbon cable (and anything else that looked like it might have come loose), and it's been faultless ever since.
Checking the seating of the ribbon cable seems a universal fix for many of the DCX's glitches.
