Anyone that has experience using a computer recording software to record a mic input could you chime in on what you use? I would like to do some relatively high recordings with my measurement microphone to supplement the videos so that the speakers and not the mic are being heard.

Here are the TLAH's recorded on my dayton mic (usually for measurement but it's extremely flat). I was ~ 9 ft away and holding the mic so forgive any handling noise. Most people have heard josh groban, but not many have heard him like this (second of two songs). I recommend reference headphones/BFM speakers when listening because IMO this is my best recording of them to date.
File is kinda large so it is hosted on my server (wav file straight from audacity no editing)
Is there a problem with hosting an audio file? Since it is a youtube forum I'm not sure if this belongs in everything else. I found it kinda useless to include the image of my ugly room because evaluating sound is based off the sound not the room

(plus you can see it in the above videos taken with my camera) thus I found it easier to just record straight from the mic.

For the record, I also was playing my T39 (eq'ed and crossed over of course) so judge it based off the mids (bass is being supplemented).

Yeah bitcasa doesn't stream wave files. I'll upload an mp3 so it's less intimidating.

Sounds pretty darn sweet missilecrisis
Mate the amplifier in the videos is it a QSC? Unrelated to original topic, what do you think of their amp's? The price is definitely right, I'm looking to acquire one myself, cheers

The Gx3 is running the sub, I've hooked it up to the TLAH's also (seperately) and it does a fine job, no noticeable loss in audio quality going from classic stereo receiver to it. Most of the time I have a piddly Harman-Kardon receiver from the 80's running it (never need more than 10 watts so it does the job but is a bit electrically noisy). I would highly recommend the GX3 if you are using it in an environment where a little fan noise is acceptable, as it is a little too loud for a home theater situation (I'm sure it can be modded).

They sink into the carpet, thus they were standing on the (older) speakers. Placement, as with most speakers, is really important with the TLAH's. I'll be building stands for them for sure, simply for positioning sake (I'd like to give the stands some kind of engraving or embroidery, but we'll see).

That sounds fantastic! Im guessing it's only with the camera or phone mic, that is even more amazing.

The video is with the built in camera mic, the audio file is with my Dayton measurement microphone, but yes the highs sounded much better in person. Thanks for all the love people. I will be making a T60 in my room video, partially because it's so massive and partially because I want to feel war volume in a corner.
