First Omni 15 Full Range build...

Currently building my first Bill Fitzmaurice cabs, in fact the first speaker cabs I've EVER built!

My speakers of choice are two Omni 15 Full Range for use as backline for bass guitar. I get the impression they sound awesome and I love their quirky look.

I'm using Eminence Kappa Pro 15LF-2 woofers, Alpha 6CBMRA mids & APT 80 tweeters.

All corners, handles, paint, crossover components, sockets etc. purchased ready :-)

Sourced some lovely birch ply and had the larger cuts done at the wood yard. Using PL Premium!!

Building with minimal tool collection :-)

Here we go...

Pl premium arrives through the post.

I had no idea the tubes were so big (900ml) and had a real job trying to buy a suitable gun lol...

But thanks to good old google...

Plywood (lovely Russian Birch ply at that)!!

I had all the large/rectangular cuts done for accuracy/squareness due to my lack of tooling at home...

...this might all look like some might fast progress lol, but I'm kinda starting this build thread part way though the build :-D I wasn't going to show my shoddy workmanship on here at first, but now I'm in the spirit of it...

So here's the cab after the first day or work on it...

The angled cuts to the front and baffle I thought were going to be a nightmare with the tools I have, but a bit of thought & planning made it pretty easy :-)

After nearly two days wrestling with a circular saw, plywood, glue, screws & clamps trying to make the mid-horn, the result was, to me, a disaster! Wrong angles, glue everywhere, multiple holes to fill where I'd screwed bits of wood to help make cuts....

Suffice to say this got thrown in the incinerator lol!!

So after much deliberation I decided to buy me a table saw to help make the horn build painless lol!

I got this for £189.98 - http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/power-tools/ ... d=11448258

I figured it'll come in for other jobs and I do have a lot of jobs to do :-)

So the table saw is LIFE CHANGING lol!

Perfectly cut ply waiting to be assembled into a mid horn.

Unfortunately due to wasting a lot of birch ply trying to make the horns without the table saw, I've had to use some lesser quality ply I had in stock for the horns :-( I'm 100% confident that in this part of the build they'll be totally fine and am planning to glue & screw!!

Here are the parts ready...
