First build Jack 112 x 2

This has been an on going build that has taken me many months, mainly from a huge fire that destroyed 90% of my work place, leaving me in limbo for a while.
I'm pretty stoked with the build, and even more stoked with the amount of help, info and pointers on the forum that I was able to take advantage of. Thanks guys!
I decided to build some Jacks after I was kindly loaned a pair from Harley, and instantly loved them! I later bought a cab to see me through for gigging, but nothing compared to the Jacks I had used. I think they were loaded with 2512's, and with switchable melded array.
I bit the bullet last year, and decided on my own pair..... I went with the 2512 also, and as they are strictly for bass use, I opted for one as woofer only, and the other with a melded array of just 8 piezos, as for my needs, the full array was just too bright. I also opted for the on/half/off switching.
A few pics of the more recent work, for some reason have misplaced the ones I took during construction...

I decided to put the Piezo array in place just so I could get a better look going on....

Forgive me here for the multiple posts, I'm a bit of noob and have only sussed out the resizing and posting of pics, let alone lots of pics in one post!
Found the supplier of Duratex in Oz, thanks to the heplful advice of fellow forumites, that also ships to NZ. I was a bit apprehensive to go another route with painting the cabs, a mate had suggested a marine nonskid paint, but na, I wanted the real deal!

I'm reasonably happy with the finish on them, I had a few test runs with different roller sleeves. I will re coat them as I have sourced the ideal (hopefully) sleeve for the job! (Other than the Duratex supplied sleeve that is!)

Paint out of the way, wiring time! Yep, the business end of the build!
Filter for the woofer only Jack, with parts sourced from Leland. I ordered these early, as I thought US to NZ shipping? Yep, may take a while.... Plus they were ordered not long before Xmas! I got my dispatch email, and much to my delight, my parcel arrived in I think 7 or 8 days. Other side of the world, and just before Xmas, gotta be happy with that!

Gotta say a huge thanks to Jono (Jonoskip), for the huge bag of foam too! Even bought it up with him from the Tron and met me after work one weekend. Its all about the service in this post!

Break in time.... this was my first attempt, 30hz test tone, ipod through my Genz Benz Shuttle 6. After first setting it up and getting voltage right, I moved the speaker so it was away from the cardboard box it is hovering over, to a sturdy jig/brace I rigged up. After I took it down it dawned on me..... 'Oh should've taken a pic of that'.

Then the finished article, with my two girls.....
And before anyone says anything..... Yes the wiring on the piezo array has been tidied up and concealed!
I'm pretty pleased with the sound of these, I put them through their paces the other night, and played around with my amp/eq settings. Man are they responsive! Now I remember what I was after when I was shopping around for bass cabs. But how do you say to the shop assistant 'I want something that sounds as good as a BFM Jack!'???
The guys in my band are pretty keen to hear it at practice, but I might keep them waiting untill I get my settings to how I want them, and then whack them with a whole heap of BFM awesomeness!
Yeah, I'm pretty excited......

Great looking cabs!
Good to hear about the help and advise you received from fellow forum members to get all your parts to NZ.

Nice! I am planning on building either a Jack 112 Lite, or a DR250 for my bass rig and I hope either looks this good.

J112 Lite if it's one speaker by itself, DR250 if you're putting a T39 under it unless you're using the DR250 as a pit monitor - IMO

I was thinking the 250 and extending the ports to make it a 30Hz tuning, as a low B is 31Hz. Although I am not sure if you can fit a long enough port in it. I was also thinking of not putting a port in and and sticking a T24 under it as my amp has a built in low pass filter.
