understanding an L-Pad. Help please

Id like to understand L-Pad installation. I will speak of a 8x10 bass cabinet for this example.

An 8x10 bass cabinet with 8 ohm speakers, wired at 4 ohms. But lets say i would like to add a tweeter to this cabinet. I have an 8 ohm tweeter and an 8 ohm L-Pad. Now its my understanding the the amp "doesnt see" the tweeter in this application. But does it "see" the L-Pad. Does installing this 8 ohm L-Pad and 8-ohm tweeter change the total impedance of the cab?

Thank you for your help!
Corey

No. The entire point of the LPad is that when used with an 8 ohm tweeter it will present a constant 8 ohm load to the crossover. If it didn't the crossover would not work.
