Quick & dirty MiniDSP volume control modification.

#1 Post by But it Hertz »

Just did a quick volume control modification to the MiniDSP that I'm using for my test rig. Thought you might find it useful. I certainly do!

Cool. I ordered a MiniDSP that's supposed to be here within the next few days according to my tracking number. I can't wait to play around with it.

I'm totally sold on the miniDSP.

Once I got over the initial learning curve and found my way around all the controls I found it super easy to use and adjust.

Look forward to hearing how you get on with yours!

The miniDSP is absolutely awesome - too bad it doesnt have a limiter!

Did you use your own volume pot? Why didn't you just buy the 2$ one that they sell with the kits? It connects to the 3 pins on the middle of the board and works perfect..

Didn't know they sold a pot! Anyway, wouldn't have wanted to wait another 2 weeks for it to arrive, I got mine from sparkfun:

IMO navigation around the miniDSP website is like pulling teeth!! So difficult to find information.

Also, after your post about the 3 pins I just figured out I was using the wrong manual!

I was using this one for the previous version http://www.minidsp.com/images/documents ... 20v1.5.pdf

This is the correct one to use for the latest version http://www.minidsp.com/images/documents ... 20v1.6.pdf
