Omni 15 Tallboy - my first build

Finally everything has arrived, got the plywood mostly pre-cut and the drivers arrived today. It's probably gonna take a while before I really start building, being rather busy and going on a vacation soon, but I've made my first panel joint yesterday. Just couldn't wait.
Tried the Rectavit PU glue I found where I bought the plywood. Here are my first pics.
Should I use more glue? It seems OK to me...

Looks good, so far. You have nice squeeze-out. How is that one corner clamp held in place? Does the adhesive hold onto it?

Tom, that is the back side of the clamp, same as the front one.

Duh. :bash: I was thinking that there was a third panel, thus making it an inside corner
Thanks!

They are two different clamps, the one at the far end touches the adhesive. So... wax paper is needed.
Edit: There was some glue on it but I had no problem removing it from the panels

I really like those clamps. I'll have to see if I can find something like it.

Couldn't stay away from it, this is too much fun... and I was granted some unexpected free time.
Front and side panel are in place, and I even started out on the baffle. This seemed the hardest part to me, but turned out rather well, thanks to having read other build threads.
I cut the baffle hole with a router (Thanks AntonZ!) a bit too small and then cut a 45° angle on the driver side to make it match the driver specifications.

Thanks Rainbass! Always nice to hear positive remarks. I wish I could continue right now. It's quite addictive, I'm pretty sure it's not going to be the last BFM I will build... and I just can't wait for it to produce some nice basslines...

At the woodshop they said it was B/BB quality. Since I'm from Belgium I guess that's European/Baltic Birch

b/bb is the grade of the plywood, where A is flawless front face and flawless back..

It looks like Birch so its perfect :)

Oops - I didn't check on front/backside quality while putting the panels together. Nevertheless both sides seem pretty flawless to me...
