Interesting -- you sure like to build subs, eh? :-)

Are you running all those at the same time? How's that working out, re: comb filtering and phase coherence, et all...?

Whatever happened to the CBT build?

I take it those aren't 1w/1m charts?

Cool, man. I've always been fond of graphs, it just makes everything much easier to read.

From those, it seems you have decided on 30hz, or are you still trying to go lower in the future? And dang! where do you get all that dough to buy those nice drivers, nice collection you got, i could barely get enough to buy the mcm clones.

Your chart on the 21 vs the 18" would lead me to believe the 21" wants a bigger box.

So you also wonder about low end extension and the whole "horn theory". In my own recent studies outside of this forum I have concluded tha flat to 20 Hz is possible with horns.... but i don't think a semi-truck and trailer at a venue is practical.

At one frequency? Was there frequency overlap between cabinets? If so how is that possible?
Sorry, just curious as to what was meant by this statement.

Me too. Wi, you sound like a mad scientist (nothing but respect in that statement), so I place you outside the ring of newbs that will use any and every sub together in one giant heap of phase and time-alignment hell. I can't imagine the effort it would take to make this work properly, but if anyone is likely to bother, it's probably you. I'm also curious how you pull it off, and what degree of success you can obtain. (Afterall, loud sound is easy -- loud quality sound is not.)

I remember the first time police were summoned to one of my gigs...kinda weird to have that happen. It was actually my very first gig with the T30's...just two of the 18" widths. We don't know who called cause no houses were really close. Second time was in a subdivision last summer. Most recently our county code office was called, being informed there was a huge party at my parents house and we were charging cover...how insane!...it was my 2 year old's birthday party... :noob: I guess they just throw really, really good.

Really appreciate that, Wi. I love it when practical experience trumps theory. I'm a fan of theory, but with some ingenuity, rules can be broken with positive results. Helps keep perspective when you have a healthy respect for conventional wisdom, combined with an urge to push the envelope.
