So finally I stop beating around the bush I got me Jack12(2512,piezzo array,500w cross over l/h,speakons).
No time to build one but I swear I will one of these days do so.
So I purchased one, its on it way.
Thanx to forum here & Trey Fisher.
I plane in future to add another jack12 ,and monitors.
So 2x 112 and 2x monitors will be the complete system down the road when finished and maxed out our needs.
Mostly all fun.Not much business going on besides couple $ here an there.
My wife is playing strings and vocals and friend plays a base in small venues and harmonica mic.
Bass got its own set up but for some tiny gigs they will share the jack12 to do it all.

And for a while the jack 112 WILL BE THE ONLY BOX IN THE HOUSE.
So with that being said:>
I read about how to do rack setup for the equipment. But for what we do that my be over kill, even thought that would be the correct way to do the PA in the long run .
But there is also more important things in the life.....
I guess I'm looking for balanced system.

Question 1:
Is there a technology, some kind of protection to prevent blowing the speaker up?
Something that can be installed in the speaker or line to limit the power?Regardless what gets hooked up, the speaker will have protection within it self?I hate to blow this product of engineering an craftsman ship up.
I rather have that hen this :fingers:

Amp recommendations:
Examples of power mixer, and rack amps that would power all this up?
I have been looking IPR1600 +31EQ+later a limiter of some sort+ I have small Behring mixer with phantom power to do the mixing here.

I wonder if there is a power amp that would give us what wee need.
That is probably the way my wife would prefer for simplicity .
Or more economical way to approach this.

If someone could provide me a options with pro and cons how to approach this from different angels but on the end all is ready to play I would appreciate that.Including the options to be both expensive and economical and between .

Thank you .

As per your plans, there is no specific limiting or voltage setting required for the Jack 12's.

Not trying to be smart, but your ears will protect your drivers!
If you have the Jack 12 so loud you can hear the driver distorting, then you need to turn down to prevent your driver blowing up.

Sure there is technology to protect your drivers, but your ears are much cheaper :)

So the IPR amp (as distinct from the IPR DSP) will be quite enough to run 2 Jacks off one side of the amp and 2 monitors off the other. Just make sure your bass through the PA isn't way over the top on your mixer and you'll be fine.
A 31 band graphic EQ is just the ticket to fine tune/tweak your jacks. If you have vocals as well as the bass/strings/harmonica, then get a dual 31 band so you can tweak your foldback speakers to stop feedback.

It's a nice easy setup: Microphones and lines in to mixer. Mixer "main out" to 1 channel input of a 31 band. That channels output goes to one side of the power amp input to run the jacks.
"Monitor out" to the other channel of the 31 band , to the power amp, to the monitors.

You don't need a limiter.

Hope this helps...
