THTLP Build

Hey folks!

Just starting on a build for a THTLP for my office. Yes, my office. :hyper:

Got three nice sheets of 5x5 Baltic Birch in.. oh man, this stuff is a zillion times nicer than the crappy chinese ply I've always used!

Have started marking out the sheets for cuts. Not quite sure how I'm meant to cut a 60 inch long sheet down to 72 inches though... (see my question thread here: THTLP - 5x5 Baltic Birch?)

Will post more info as things progress.

So, it turns out that the plans mention 5x5 Baltic Birch as a suitable plywood size for the THTLP (plans dated 7/7/2011), but actually mean 8x4 is required.

This means I have to go and joint some Baltic Birch in order to make this cab. :slap:

So, time for me to start making some scary cuts, in order to add a foot to the end of my sheets of plywood!

Hate to rub it in but READ the plans first to avoid anymore unforeseen issues.

Yup. Lesson learned, once again.

Made myself a cut list for 8x4 ply, and am currently reading the plans through twice more before my ride shows up for more ply.

If the finished look is important you could still use the 5x5 jointed (it's not that hard to do) and then veneer over the outside panels.
