Hey guys
Sooo, my addiction to BF cabs has gotten the better of me and I have several projects underway.. I've ordered an MCM 55-2421 which is going to be in a T18 for a HT but i've also ordered a few stuff as I want some sound in my car! So today this puppy shipped in for an Autotuba:
However, I do have a few questions as I know absolutely nothing about audio in a car!
1. How much sensitivity will I lose by building a 12" wide cab with 11" internal width - I have a Citroen C1 and the boot is no more than 31cm deep so I cant fit anymore..
2. I picked up a:
http://www.monacor.dk/produkter/bilster ... nr/142790/ and will be running it 3 channel (4 channel amp) with 2 channels bridged to get decent output from the amp to the sub (120Wrms).. The amp has built in adjustable LP and HP filters..
3. What kind of speakers would I want to put in the rear? Unfortunately I cant fit 2 DR200 in the back

- Sooo, what do go with?

Building a cardboard mockup to figure out how narrow I need to go to make the sub fit.. Think I might need to go 9" internally.. Would that completely compromise the design?

Quite a driver isn't it? Have fun with your build, and please post on how good the gasket on it is, as you will probably get to that step before I do.

Hehe, yea I like it.. It feels very sturdy!
Dont think ill start building in another week or 2.. Or well, might squeeze in a bit of building next week.. Ill remember to post how I find the gasket - did notice it being very rigid!

I'm thinking my mini van is a little bigger than the Citroen C1. ha I put two 18" wide AT's in it when I don't have to haul the p.a. When I do have a load, I have to put that putrid 10" JL behind the front seat for "some" hint of bass. Here's some pics on the subject.

And oh yeah.... the bass is ridiculously stupid! You're gonna love one in a smaller car!

I'd actually be amazed that you could fit
anything in a C1...
For our American buddies, this is a picture of the amount of room he's got to play with:
Yes, one of the rear seats is folded down to fit 3 hats, a pair of shoes and an umbrella.

Haha, yea I was wondering if the americans have even seen a Citroen C1 when I saw Spoon comparing it to a Minivan.. Its more of a shopping cart with seats than a minivan..
Actually, here is a nice picture without any stuff in the boot.. Its SMALL! - about 35 inches wide, 12 inches deep and 18 inches high.. But I could fit an autotuba if i make it 10,5/11 inches wide - however, nobody really seems to know the answer, except Bill ofcourse
And BTW! For the price of this puny little car here in Denmark, I could buy a Ford Mustang convertible in the US!

Ha, I used to work for Bang & Olufsen so I'm well aware of the price of stuff in Denmark.

Sooooo, I started building yesterday - pictures will come later today!
However, I wouldnt be able to fit a T18 as the height of the boot is only 15-16 inches.. But i'm building the AT with inner panels exactly 10 inches wide..
Just thought you mistook it for another car Spoon

Oh and I absolutely love my new Ryobi cordless drill - so far, its been a HUGE upgrade, from using an old powerdrill.. Its has been running for 2 days now, drilling and screwing a lot and shows no sign of powerloss - excellent battery!
Can definately recommend buying a good cordless power drill!

Nice build, pretty much done in two days! How easy is it? I could build one from the scrap ply of my TT...

@Phaedras-are you glueing up in the cold? How is the glue holding up? Pretty quick build, though.
@bassmonster-AT is easier than a TT in my opinion(built both at 16" wide total)
