I picked up a RMX 2450 for super cheap on CL ($150). A quick test shows it's working like a champ. Anybody have any history with these? I've only used the Crown amps. One thing is for sure, it's heavy.

I have always liked QSC stuff (and their company and CS rocks too!)
I used to have an old Model 1200 amp which was great until one channel died but it was like 15 years old and full of dust and crap.
When I was looking for amps last year I kept going back to the RMX stuff and ended up with an RMX 850, and just recently bought an RMX 1850HD to take over sub duty. Your right though the amps weigh a fair bit but thats one trade off I have to live with.

Yup. Like I said in the back up amp thread. It's a great amp aside from the scratchy attenuators and the weight.

This one was pretty full of dust. Was used in a business. I took the cover off and blew it out. It's in great shape. No scratchy pots at all.

Reliable, heavy as hell, plenty of juice for the quoted watts.

I was thinking about trying a GX7 before I found this RMX. So, it all worked out in the end. Has anybody used both? I had not read any real reviews of the GX7 on subs.

I have two rmx 2450's and 3 gx5's. The rmx's blow away the gx5's except for weight. Haven't tested a gx7 although I've heard good things...
