EQ settings

EQ guys are using on their cabs/systems. A good starting place if you don't have your own RTA.

EQ settings

#1 Post by Smitty »

Hello all,

I have an Mp3 player that has a EQ setting on it, and I am wondering which is the best setting for sound, I had my dad help with me once (i'm 14 years old, and my dad is TeaJSmit (or something like that)), but I accidentally changed the settings on it. If you could help me out, that'd be great :)

Whatever sounds best to your ears.
99% of the time, things that aren't already being done aren't being done because they don't work. The other 1% is split evenly between fools and geniuses.

Haha, silly son! I'll help you out again.

History:
Awhile back when I still had my Volvo 740 wagon with my AT hooked up and his MP3 player hooked in, I could hear his MP3 player pumping on the bass notes with the volume turned up on the player (not on the head unit.) It turns out that the bass EQ was pushed up quite high on the MP3 player, so I figure that the processor was running out of headroom/power, and one could hear it "catch up" in between the bass notes.
