Managing snakes, cables n cords.

I have this snake, a little much to handle. Always takes 10 min to wrap up, has anyone came up with a solution to wrapping cords so they don't tangle with handling? Has any1 designed like a wind up cord case for large wire?

Except snakes weigh 10X what even 12G speaker cables do, and are 2 to 4 times longer. Doing an over/under on 100' of 24-pair snake is a PITA.
Reels are the way to go. The lesser alternative is to get a snake box with casters, and do your over/under directly into the box.

+1. But, I have not seen any that weren't complete. IOW, buy a new snake, built-in to the reel.

Figure 8 works better in a box. Same snag-free payout, more rectangular shape, less volume required.
