This is what I played through yesterday....

Played at the local County Fair yesterday. Sound was provided by a guy I know. JBL Vertecs, double 15s, and JBL subs. Gotta' admit, it was fun to play without having to set anything up. They truly catered to us. Monitor tech gave us just what we wanted and everybody said that FOH was good.

Set up my guitar rig in about 3 minutes.....didn't know what to do after that, as I'm always setting up the PA and taking care of everybody else's stuff. Felt downright pampered.

I guess the pic looks a little weird.....that's a tarp that's on the top. They system was used over a 4 day period, so they covered it all at night, then just pulled the tarp back during the day.

Ditto that man...same here! I've got a drummer buddy of mine who is touring right now with Tracy Lawrence, I'm sure he can identify too.

From the pic it looks like it's a split sub system?

Not many as the system was overkill - at least when we played. They probably cranked it up for the nighttime band.

I've played that venue with 2 OT12s and 2 T39s....but to equal 4 vertecs, 4 dual 15s, and 4 JBL 728 subs? Maybe 6-T39s and 6-250s?

It was a full-on pro setup. 48 channels FOH and 48 x 12 monitor mixer. Bass player and I each got two wedges. Drummer got a dual 15 and wedge on each side....like a pair of huge headphones.

It's a 5-way. I didn't ask the crossover points, but it was all active crossovers.

If you mean were the subs split - yes. Didn't notice any nulls anywhere......

Actually meant to ask both with the variety there... Nice that you didn't have to set it up.

Bruce, are you going to bring your BFM setup to Wurstfest? I haven't been since my SWT days and was thinking about making the trip for some copious beers and sausages. Would be nice to check out a quality system also.

They hire a couple of different sound companies to do Wurstfest. I know most of those guys. But no, I won't have any BFM gear there.

We don't have any thing booked during Wurstfest at this point except for a private gig outside of town. I prefer getting out of town when Wurstfest is going on.. :)

But, come on down - there will be cold beer and hot sausage. If you do come, try to come when either Alex Miexner or Brave Combo is playing - both acts are incredible. Best described as Acid or Nuclear Polka.
