Many Happy Returns, Harley!
Guess you are now H60 (as opposed to T60)?
AND your guys beat France yesterday! Impressive display too.
All good in Auckland!

Thanks,
Yes, the Froggies got a jolly good Rodgering didn't they!
Visa gets granted next week - what a rigmarole. Will advise you of the dates when sorted.

I'm jealous! I can't remember the last time I got a birthday gift.
Happy birthday Harley!
Keep in mind 60 is the new 50.

Isn't it hard to believe it took this many years for a family member to finally give you something that you really want?
I still remember when my wife bought me a brad nailer and a plate joiner (biscuit cutter)......best presents of my life.....sniff...sniff....still emotional over it.
Happy Birthday.....

Happy Birthday Harley! My dad turns 61 tomorrow, but we're having a little party today if all goes well. The BFM's will be part of the celebration!

Recently picked up a similar but with the Weller brand on it. Dang it's amazing what a proper soldering iron does for your work.
Happy Birthday.

Hey Harley
Finally got internet in new apartment and VPN on the suss so actually could see the image of what Jason bought you (previously just that bleedin' blue square with a question mark you get when the images are blocked).
That's one hell of a nice soldering iron!
Congratulations on making it to 60! Congratulations on bringing up a son who's cool enough to buy that kind of thing. And congratulations on what I'm sure is another wicked piece of kit in your workshop.
Long life and happiness!
Russell

But now it might be shorter.
The VISA to China was granted today!
Now for some planning to get in and get out of the "most polluted city in China" quickly.
I'll pm you the dates.

Ah, sunny Shijiazhuang! The riviera of a-holes of the world! (Stone Family/Clan Village it means. I made a gag about the imperial hemp plantations being based there in ancient times and was believed by a bus full of language examiners who should have known better!)
A pall of pollution hangs over that city permanently! Not as bad as London's famous "pea soupers" in the 50s but it's bad. Especially if you approach by train. You go from blue sky into a dirty great grey cloud! The light is other-worldly. Very odd.
Taiyuan, another city not too far away, is the same. Actually most Chinese cities are the same! Only Hohot (pronounced 'hoo hih ha teh'' in Mandarin Chinese

) in Inner Mongolia, Urumqi way out west in Xinjiang and coastal cities like Dalian, Tianjin, and Qingdao have been any different in my experience.
Think it's normally the Sheraton hotel we stay in. But as the British Council arrange it all and we're only there for a night every few months, I can't remember. Doesn't matter taxis are cheap!
Looking forward to your PM!
