1. How do you crossover aux fed subs with an active crossover? Feed the mains into a channel of the crossover and have only the high output of that crossover channel going to an amp channel? And, the aux for the subs going into another channel of the crossover with only the low output of that crossover channel going into another amp channel?

2. Will the Mackie 2600 (http://www.mackie.com/pdf/m2600_ss.pdf) built-in crossover work OK for this application:

1 pair OTop 112s, 1 pair T39s, full band, modest SPL levels. (contemporary worship). Main output, channel 1; aux for subs, channel 2

For the amp setup.
Channel 1
High out
crossover 120hz
low cut filter ~100hz ish

Channel 2
low out
crossover 120hz
low cut filter 40-45hz

Amp mode stereo
output application full range limiter on.

You could try 90hz xover point but I don't think the otops will play well @ that freq.

The settings on the Mackie worked out pretty well but now I'm looking into a new configuration. So, question:

So, on the crossover, channel 1 low output not utilized and channel 2 hi out not utililzed? Am I gettin' my head around this OK?

That sounds right to me. The best way to be sure is to try it before game day and see how it works. I have a crossover in my IPR amps so I haven't needed to go that route, but that is how I would work it. Just remember to either have the aux channel you are using set to post fader with the aux send at "u" (unity) or just remember that the aux send will not follow the fader and you will have to balance manually. If you bring the master fader down, your subs will still be getting signal unless you bring down the aux send as well.
